Accommodation Deposits and Payments
The deposit required for all bookings up to 3 nights’ accommodation is the equivalent of one night’s charge which is payable at the time of booking either £,s by bank transfer or if in Euros €uro cheque or bank transfer. Reservations of one week require a deposit equal to two nights’ charge. In all cases the balance due for the accommodation is due 2 weeks before arrival.

Cancellations
Should you wish to cancel your booking with us after your payment has been received and banked, please contact us as soon as possible. We will then make every effort to re-let the room(s) for the period of your booking and repay a percentage to you. However, if re-letting is unsuccessful any monies paid cannot be refunded.

Arrivals
Guests should arrive not earlier than 3pm, however if travel arrangements mean that your time of arrival is earlier please let us know as it may be possible to allow entry earlier or arrange for a luggage drop-off to sit and relax in gardens or visit local sights or cafes.

Departures
Guests should vacate their room by 11am on the day of departure.

Breakfast 
Continental Breakfast is served in the dining room area of the Salon in the main La Chabotterie for chambres d’hotes guests only as  (self-catering in the cottage guests have their own kitchen and dining area ). Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30 am unless by prior arrangement.

Insurance
We always advise that you take out travel insurance against the possibility of having to cancel your holiday or travel arrangements. In addition, under French law, the client is responsible for the room contents for the duration of the holiday including accidental breakage, damage, loss, expense or inconvenience which the client or any member of his/her party may suffer arising from or in connection with the holiday or resulting from any other cause whatsoever. We strongly recommend that clients ensure that their personal insurance covers them for this.

Pets
As the La Chabotterie is also a wellbeing centre Pets are not allowed unless by specific prior arrangement. We do love cats and dogs and have two springers and a cat ourselves but we are offering a quiet rural retreat for our guests to relax and restore without disturbance Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

La Petite Chabotterie cottage /Gite Accommodation

Cottage -Gite Deposits and Payments
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required when making the reservation.

The balance is due in cleared funds 6 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments should be made by UK bank transfer or €uro cheque or transfer (by prior arrangement – please ask for bank account details).

The outstanding balance will be required no later than 6 calendar weeks prior to the start date of your holiday, again by UK bank transfer or €uro cheque or transfer (by prior arrangement – please ask for bank account details).
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that final balance payment is not made by the due date, your booking will be cancelled and the Gite re-let. Your deposit will not be refunded.

Gite Security cheque
The security cheque of £100 will be held against any breakages or damage that may occur during your stay. Breakages or damages will be agreed prior to departure wherever possible, or otherwise notified to you within 7 days of departure. Your original security cheque will be returned by post to you within 14 days from the end of your holiday (or an equivalent cheque repaid to you less any necessary deductions for breakages). The security cheque is payable when you arrive for your holiday.

Arrivals
Guests should try not to arrive any earlier than 4pm. If transport arrangements are such that your time of arrival is earlier than this, please contact us with details well in advance, as it might be possible to allow entry prior to this time or at least allow for a luggage drop off.

If travel arrangements mean that your arrival will be after 7pm, please advise us as soon as you can.

Departures
Guests must vacate the Gite no later than 10am on their day of departure to enable us to prepare the accommodation for the next arrivals.

Please remove all used bedding, leave it in the room ready for laundry, and leave the Gite in the same condition that you found it.

Our charges include a full ‘secondary’ cleaning service after vacation but we would not usually have to spend more than three hours on that service. Should you wish to simply ‘pack and go’, you can make use of our full after-holiday cleaning service instead; you may arrange this with us, for a charge of 50.00euros payable before you leave.

Breakages/Damages
On or shortly after arrival, we will come to the house to show you around, explain how things work and answer any questions you may have. If you find that any of the appliances are not in working order, you should inform us on the first day of your stay. (All appliances will have been checked prior to your arrival.) Any breaks or damage should be notified either on the day of departure but preferably on the day of damage/breakage that so that repairs/replacements can be arranged. Any significant damage/breakages will be taken out of the security deposit (see above, ‘Security Cheque’) and damages in excess of the value of the security cheque must be paid for and reclaimed via client personal insurance.
